Installers and end users will benefit from the latest manufacturing improvement in the GPS PE Pipe System’s electrofusion fittings range.

The new wire placement technique, recently adopted by GPS, significantly reduces fusion and cooling times. It also leads to extremely strong and secure electrofusion joints when installed correctly.

GPS PE Pipe Systems have taken up the new method in Spring 2010, with the initial upgrade of their small diameter, black electrofusion couplers and 90o elbows. Now the new technique will also cover the GPS’s range of top loading tapping tees. Applied to GPS’s 32mm black PE100 and yellow PE80 top-loading tapping tees, the new production method cuts an average of 18% off the fusion time and 33% off the cooling time. This is on top of the time saving achieved by using barcodes that allow scanning information on fusion and cooling times to ensure quick and easy installation.

The technique adds to GPS’s already comprehensive product range and specialist knowledge in PE pipe systems for water, gas and general industries. A pioneer in the design and manufacture of PE pipes, GPS is committed to constantly improving and updating its products in response to customer needs.
